Dehradun, Sept. 2 -- Four people were arrested on Monday by the state's Special Task Force (STF) for allegedly supplying fake pharmaceuticals in bulk to a company involved in manufacturing counterfeit drugs, police officers familiar with the matter said. The accused were identified as Pradeep Gaud of Zentic Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Shailendra Singh of BLBK Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd, Shishir Singh of Oxi Pharma Pvt Ltd and Tejinder Kaur of Keron Life Science Pvt Ltd. Senior superintendent of police (STF) Navneet Singh Bhullar said, "Earlier, on June 1, 2025, accused Santosh Kumar was arrested with a large haul of fake wrappers, labels and QR codes of reputed pharmaceutical companies." "A case was registered at Selaqui police station in Dehradun, and later transferred to the STF. Six accused, including Kumar, Naveen Bansal alias Akshay, Aditya Kala, Devi Dayal Gupta, Pankaj Sharma and Vijay Kumar Pandey, were arrested in the case," he added. The SSP further said, "Four pharma companies, Keron Life Science Pvt Ltd, BLBK Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd, Oxi Pharma Pvt Ltd and Zentic Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, sold nearly 18 lakh loose tablets without strips to Beechem Biotech, a firm run by accused Naveen Bansal, without a valid drug licence. The medicines were billed with "MRP 00.00", a practice usually meant for government supply, though Bansal had no such contracts or permissions." "The consignment was later used to be packed in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, under the name of branded companies and circulated in the market," he added.....
