Lucknow, July 14 -- Former director general of police, UP Prashant Kumar has gifted 227 books to the Tagore Library of the Lucknow University. These books also include the books from which he had studied during his student life. These books would be of special benefit to those students and researchers who are preparing for various competitive examinations, said vice chancellor Lucknow University Prof Alok Kumar Rai. He said that this step of Prashant Kumar will inspire other serving and former retired officers who will definitely come forward and provide books for the library of Lucknow University. The Lucknow University family highly appreciates this step of Prashant Kumar and expresses its gratitude to him, Prof Rai said.
