Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 21 -- Kerala's health minister Veena George on Friday promised tough action against those responsible for medical negligence in a case in which an artery forceps was left inside the abdomen of a woman who had undergone surgery at the Government Medical College Hospital in Alappuzha in 2021. It has come to light that an artery forceps was discovered recently in the abdomen of Punnapra-native Usha Joseph who had undergone a surgery for uterine fibroid removal at the government hospital on May 12, 2021.
