Focus on Sanskrit's wider reach as Sanskrit Sansthan turns 50
LUCKNOW, Jan. 1 -- The UP Sanskrit Sansthan organised its 50th Foundation Day on Wednesday with a seminar on the topic "Contribution of Sanskrit Sansthan in the development of Sanskrit language".
Invited scholar Prof Prayag Narayan Mishra from the Department of Sanskrit, Allahabad University, said that since its inception, the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan has been working to bring the Sanskrit language to the masses through theatrical performances, poetry gatherings, recitation of verses, Sanskrit talent search programmes, and various competitions, thereby generating interest in Sanskrit among students.
Another speaker, prof Sharadindu Tripathi of department of Sanskrit, BHU, said that the UP Sanskrit Sansthan has made multidimensional and farsighted contributions to the preservation, enrichment, and development of the Sanskrit language. "The institute has played an important role in education, research, and publication, and public awareness has kept Sanskrit relevant and vibrant in the modern era. It functions as a strong bridge between the glorious tradition of Sanskrit and its bright future," said Tripathi.
Arvind Kumar Tiwari of Baghpat said that Sanskrit is the foundational language of Indian culture, philosophy, religion, science, and literature.
In the poetry symposium held in the institute auditorium - Arvind Kumar Tiwari of Baghpat, Vipin Kumar Dwivedi, Saurabh Kumar Dwivedi, Abhishek Pandey and Prof Prayag Narayan Mishra, Prof Sharadindu Kumar Tripathi and Anuradha Dubey enthralled the audience with their poetries....
