PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 16 -- The ongoing Abbas-Rai Media Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament on Sunday witnessed thrilling contests as Flying Daggers, Thunder Strikers, and Invincible Titans secured their places in the semifinals with impressive victories. In the first match at the NCR Ground, the NCR Officers-XI won the toss and elected to bat, posting a total of 143/8 in 20 overs. Key contributions came from Ashish Sanchan (48), Mukesh Kumar (27), and Abhishek Pratap (21), while Sanjeev Kumar took 3/17. In reply, CA Prayagraj-XI chased down the target in 16.4 overs, losing just two wickets. Devendra Gupta played a stellar innings, remaining unbeaten on 67 off 38 balls, including 10 fours and a six. He also contributed with the ball (1-0-3-1). Shridhar Khanduja added 39 runs and Paras Bhutani 21 not out. Devendra Gupta was awarded the Man of the Match by advocate Sharad Kumar Shrivastava. At the Ishwar Sharan Degree College Ground, the Invincible Titans batted first in the opening game, collapsing to 88 all out in 14.3 overs. The Thunder Strikers successfully chased the target in 19.4 overs, scoring 89/8 with Ayush Tiwari scoring 28 and Yash Yadav 16 not out. Sanjay was named Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance. In the second match at the same venue, PWD Prayagraj Super Kings set a formidable total of 181/6 in 18 overs, led by Imroz Ali's 96 and Taseef's 62, while Arvind took 2 wickets for 24 runs. The Flying Daggers staged a thrilling chase, scoring 183 in 17.5 overs. Suproteek Chatterjee played a spectacular unbeaten innings of 96 off 49 balls, with 8 fours and 4 sixes, supported by Ram Shakya's 64 runs. Mohammad Athar and Jitendra shared the wickets for PWD.
