LUCKNOW, Dec. 27 -- Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries left the Rashtra Prerna Sthal following its inauguration, several people were seen stealing flower pots placed along the approach road to the venue. Videos of the theft went viral on social media, drawing criticism over civic sense. Multiple videos showing commuters -- mostly on two-wheelers -- stopping to pick up flower pots kept for decoration were recorded by bystanders and later circulated widely on social media. In one such clip, a person was seen carrying a BJP flag while loading flower pots onto his scooter. The videos went viral within hours of the Prime Minister's departure. One post on X read: "In UP's Lucknow, commuters walk away with flower pots kept for decoration on the road following PM Narendra Modi's event. Don't miss the man on a scooty trying to grab as many pots as possible while holding a BJP flag." "Not an uncommon sight in India and explains why municipalities remove flower pots once events end. Ironically, those stealing them are usually not poor but from economically sound households," another social media post read. A senior district administration official termed the incident unfortunate and said police will examine the CCTV footage to identify the culprits through vehicle registration numbers. htc...
