AGRA, Nov. 26 -- Five more accused were arrested on Monday for allegedly thrashing salesmen and staff at liquor vends in Vrindavan on November 17. Opposing the operation of liquor shops in the temple town, the accused had allegedly locked the salesmen inside the vends and threatened customers, police said. Circle officer (Sadar) Sandeep Kumar Singh said an FIR was registered against five named accused and unidentified others for forcibly attempting to shut the liquor vends in the Sunrakh area of Vrindavan in Mathura district on November 17. "The case was registered at the Vrindavan police station under sections 191(2), 352, 351(3), 127(2), 131, 324(4), 132, 152 and 219 of the BNS, and Section 7 of the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act. Two of the named accused were arrested earlier, while the remaining three and two others were arrested on Monday," Singh said in a statement.
