Five held for impersonation in BPEd exam in Jaunpur
VARANASI, May 25 -- Five people were caught impersonating candidates during the Batchelor of Physical Education (BPEd) examination at Bayalasi Mahavidyalaya, Jalalpur, Jaunpur, police said on Saturday.
Principal Alakeshwari Singh of Bayalasi PG College informed that Ajay Yadav, Kulshrestha Dubey, Anoop Srivastava, Dheeraj Srivastava, and Suraj Kumar Srivastava-all residents of different localities of Jaunpur-were found writing the examination on behalf of other candidates. They were impersonating Hriday Narayan Pandey (Roll No. 24649122369), Dhyan Pratap Singh (Roll No. 24649122367), Amar Chaudhary (Roll No. 24649122359), Priyanshu Singh (Roll No. 24649122376), and Ritesh Kumar (Roll No. 24649122380), respectively, by using forged documents, police said.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered under Section 319 (cheating by personation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 11/13(5) of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act.
A police team led by Station Officer Triveni Singh reached the spot and arrested the five accused. Further legal action is being taken as per rules, police added.
