PRAYAGRAJ, June 12 -- Five people were injured after being attacked with an axe over an old dispute related to goat grazing. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Mubarakpur Uphar village under Nawabganj police station. According to a complaint filed by Sunil Pal, the attack followed a fight involving his cousins over goat grazing. Sunil said that Mehboob, Hasnain, Irfan, Haseen, Sahil, Shahzad, and Aman began abusing. When the family objected, the group allegedly attacked Ashok Pal and Munshilal Pal with sharp weapons. Sunil claimed Munshilal was seriously injured and referred to SRN. Ramnaresh, Sachin Pal, and Shobh Lal were also hurt. The injured were first taken to the community health centre in Nawabganj. Doctors referred them to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital due to their critical condition. SHO Raghavendra Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against seven people.
