Firozabad: Man kills wife after domestic dispute
Agra, March 28 -- A 30-year-old man allegedly killed his wife with a sharp-edged weapon following a domestic dispute in Firozabad district on Friday. The incident took place in Rampur village, under the jurisdiction of the Nagla Sindhi police station. Police said the accused fled the scene after the attack and teams have been deployed to trace him. Additional superintendent of police (City), Ravi Shankar Prasad, said they received information about the incident through Dial 112. A police team reached the spot immediately and senior officers were informed.
"Prima facie, it appears that a family issue led to an argument between the couple. During the altercation, the husband lost his temper and stabbed his wife in the stomach with a sharp weapon," he said.
The deceased has been identified as Seema, 25, while the accused, Govind, 30, works as an autorickshaw driver. The couple had a love marriage around five years ago. Police said the couple's children told them that their parents had been arguing for the past few days. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination....
