Agra, Dec. 3 -- A man fraudulently took possession of his sister's house by giving the excuse of the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Firozabad, police said. The accused cheated his sister by getting a gift deed executed in his own name in collusion with a lawyer and another accomplice at the local tehsil. Sartaz Khanum, the complainant, told police that she bought a house in Mohalla Vakilpura in Firozabad city in 2024. Sartaz said her brother Azad, a resident of Firozabad, had his eyes on her house for some time. On November 12, Azad, accompanied by his friends Khalid Hussain and one Mugisuddin, convinced Sartaz to get her documents prepared from the local tehsil as SIR proceedings were underway, else she might even be deported. Sartaz, who lives in Gurugram, said she believed her brother initially, but later smelled foul. She alleged that she was threatened when she questioned her brothers. Even at the Firozabad tehsil, lawyer Akram Ansari, whom she alleged was working in collusion with Azad, threatened to kill her if she denied signing the gift deed, the FIR stated. Firozabad SSP Saurabh Dixit said a case has been registered under section 318(4) (cheating for property) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) against Azad (brother), Mugisuddin, Khalid Husaain and lawyer Akram Ansari. Sartaz, who said that her brother had taken possession of her house, alleged that Azad had been involved in a similar case by getting a fake sale deed executed. He was booked in a case registered at Rasoolpur police station in 2023 under Section 420 (cheating), 448 and 506 of the IPC....
