Firozabad cash loot case: Head constable terminated from service
Agra, Oct. 10 -- The head constable posted at Agra Police Lines who was arrested on Wednesday for his involvement in Rs two crore cash loot case in Firozabad, was dismissed from his services on Thursday.
The accused cop along with a constable in Agra GRP had received cash Rs 5 lakh each from the criminals for acting as insiders for the gang involved in loot.
Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) for Agra East at Agra Police Commissionerate, Syed Ali Abbas confirmed the termination of service of head constable Manoj Kumar on the basis of findings during departmental probe.
Manoj Kumar was the second policeman to be arrested after Ankur Pratap Singh of GRP Agra was arrested on Tuesday.
Names of these two cops had come to light during the investigation of the case. It was found that both the cops, now behind bars, were having advance information of loot and had gone to Delhi on September 30 and came back with cash Rs 5 lakh each.
It may be recalled that on September 30, armed criminals had intercepted a cash management company's vehicle, attacked the driver Danji Patel, tied him up, and fled with Rs.2 crore after throwing the injured driver on Yamuna Expressway connecting Agra with Noida....
