LUCKNOW, July 16 -- Two individuals were trapped inside a lift which malfunctioned at Prem Plaza, a commercial building located behind Jawahar Bhawan in Hazratganj, early Tuesday morning. However, they were rescued by fire personnel, officials said. According to officials at the Hazratganj fire station, the control room received an emergency alert at around 5 am regarding people stuck in the lift. Fire station officer (FSO) Ram Kumar Rawat and his team promptly rushed to the spot with a mobile disaster response vehicle (MDRV). "Upon reaching the site, the team found two persons trapped inside the lift on the second floor. The fire personnel rescued them without any injury," Rawat said. Those rescued were identified as Apurv Verma, a resident of Sadar, and Ojaswi of Saadatganj. The cause of the malfunction is yet to be confirmed, officials said, adding maintenance authorities have been informed, and an inspection of the lift system is expected to take place soon....
