Fire breaks out at Gramin Bank due to short circuit
Prayagraj, May 17 -- A fire broke out at the Baroda Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank, located in the Babuganj market of Nagar Panchayat Antu in Pratapgarh district, on Thursday night, believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The blaze damaged the bank's furniture, electronic equipment, and several records, though crucial documents and funds were spared.
The incident occurred at around 1.30 am, a nearby petrol pump worker, Saurav Pandey, noticed flames emerging from the bank's window. Pandey, who resides in a room within the same building, immediately raised the alarm and alerted both the police and the fire station. In response, fire tenders and local residents rushed to the scene, working together to bring the fire under control after two hours of intense effort....
