PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 22 -- A case has been filed against two more persons who used to become guarantors and bail unknown criminals for money. The Manjhanpur police in Kaushambi filed the case based on a sub-inspector's complaint. The Kotwali police have already filed reports against 27 such people till now and efforts are underway to arrest the accused. Sub-inspector Ranjeet Singh, posted at the Manjhanpur Kotwali, said that while he was patrolling the court premises on Thursday, he discovered that Arjun, resident of Qadirabad, and Chandan Lal, resident of Devkharpur, had secured bail for multiple criminals using the same land records and had collected substantial money from them. An investigation revealed that such professionals secured multiple bails on the same land papers. Arjun had secured bail for an accused in a 2021 attempted murder case registered at Sarai Akil police station, whom he did not even know. Similarly, he secured the bail for those accused of raping a minor, stealing, and a case under the Gangsters Act. Meanwhile, another accused, Chandan, secured bail for criminals from Auraiya and Bulandshahr. Police officials stated that a campaign has been launched against such professionals in the district and action was taken as part of the campaign. Inspector Sunil Singh stated that cases have already been filed against 25 such professionals. The accused will be arrested soon and are being searched for, he added....
