Lucknow, Aug. 8 -- Preparations for the centenary commemoration of the historic Kakori Train Action, scheduled for Friday, have entered their final phase at the Kakori Shaheed Smarak. Lucknow divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob and district magistrate Visakh G inspected the arrangements on Thursday. During the visit, officials reviewed all key aspects of the upcoming programme and directed that all preparations be completed by Thursday night. In view of the monsoon season, the divisional commissioner instructed the Lucknow Municipal Corporation to deploy dewatering pumps and generators at the venue to prevent waterlogging and ensure an uninterrupted power supply, according to an official press release. Chief development officer Ajay Jain, additional district magistrate (Nagar Purvi) Mahendrapal Singh, additional district magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Rakesh Kumar Singh, and other departmental officials were part of the inspection team.
