Lucknow, May 15 -- Narendra Kashyap, minister of state (independent charge) for backward classes welfare and Divyangjan Empowerment, on Wednesday, gave instructions to the officials concerned to fill all the vacant posts in Jagatguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University, Chitrakoot and Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow soon. The minister was reviewing functioning of the department of empowerment of divyangjan. He said that the UP government is committed to the interests of the divyangjans. "It should be ensured that the Divyang students studying in these two special universities get quality education and all the necessary facilities." He also directed the officials of Dr Shakuntala Mishra University to submit a complete account of the last five years. While reviewing the major schemes run for the disabled, the minister said that a proposal should be prepared to increase the assistance amount given in Divyang Pension, Marriage Incentive Scheme and Shop Construction Scheme according to the actual requirements. He laid special emphasis on wide publicity of these schemes, effective implementation under the monthly action plan and providing benefits to all eligible beneficiaries....
