Prayagraj, Sept. 10 -- A dumper truck ran over a father and his daughter on Tuesday afternoon near the Leprosy Mission intersection in the Naini area. The accident happened while they were returning home from school on a motorcycle. Both died on the spot. According to police, the dumper hit the motorcycle from behind. The father and daughter fell onto the road, and the driver did not stop. Instead, he ran over them while trying to escape. The driver fled the scene. The victims were identified as Ratnesh Srivastava, 57, and his 17-year-old daughter Yashi. Police found Yashi's school ID card, which helped them confirm their identities.
