Lucknow, Sept. 22 -- A family was brutally attacked late Saturday night near Surya Nagar crossing in Para after they resisted harassment of a young woman by a group of drunken men. The attackers allegedly stopped the family's car, dragged them out, and beat them with rods, sticks, bricks and sharp-edged weapons. Four members were injured, including a young man with a severe head wound who is in the ICU and said to be critical. The family's car was also vandalised, and they were threatened with death if they reported the matter. On the victim's complaint, police registered a case against several men, including Kuldeep Yadav alias Kala, Nagendra Yadav alias Gabbar, and four others. Inspector Suresh Singh said three police teams are working to trace the accused, while CCTV footage from the area is being examined.
