Expo of nature, sports, Mahakumbh clicks goes on show
Lucknow, Aug. 19 -- Over 160 photographs of 71 photographers from across the country are on display at an exhibition organised as part of World Photography Day celebrations.
Organised by The Youth Photojournalist Association, the exhibition began at the Kala Srot Art Gallery on Monday and will remain open till August 21.
It was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on the eve of World Photography Day. The photographs exhibited are displayed under various themes like - Mahakumbh, Nature, Sports, Politics, creative composition and photojournalism.
Maurya praised the struggle of the photographers and their work after seeing the pictures and said that it is difficult to take such pictures. "The photographers struggle in the field to capture each photograph which is clearly visible in this photo exhibition. The UP government is always with you," said Maurya.
The photographs captured during the Mahakumbh are the highlight of the exhibition.
Shahir Siddiqui, president, The Youth Photo Journalist Association (TYPA), said that the hobby of photography is now increasing among the people. "Even children have a keen interest in photography these days and parents should encourage them," said Siddiqui. HTC...
