Kanpur, Dec. 14 -- Explosions were reported outside the residence of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha state president Manoj Singh Bhadauria in the early hours of Saturday in the Barra police station area here. According to Bhadauria, he reached home around 12.30 am when a white car stopped outside his house shortly afterwards. Three youths got out of the vehicle - two with their faces covered with cloth, while the third was unmasked. The accused allegedly began hurling abuses and within seconds threw four crude bombs towards his house. The explosions damaged window panes and sent shockwaves through the area, after which the attackers fled the spot in the same car. Police said the car's number plate had been painted black, apparently to conceal its identity. On hearing the blasts, locals rushed out of their homes and alerted the police. A Dial-112 team and local police personnel reached the spot and began an investigation. CCTV footage from the surrounding area has captured the movements of the suspects. DCP South Deependranath Chowdhary said an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons on the basis of Bhaduria's complaint, and efforts were on to identify and trace the accused....
