Prayagraj, Nov. 24 -- A dispute over motorcycle parking escalated into a violent clash in Tajpur Sariyawan village under the Kunda police station area late Saturday night, resulting in the death of Furqan, son of former village head Moazzam alias Guddu. His younger brother, Sahil, was also injured and later referred to Prayagraj for treatment, police said. According to officials, Moazzam had a long-standing rivalry with neighbour Mohd Tanveer Milki over panchayat elections. On Saturday night, an argument between local youths over parking two-wheelers brought the two sides face-to-face, triggering the confrontation. After receiving information, additional SP (West) Brijnandan Rai and SHO Awan Kumar Dikshit reached the spot. During the scuffle, Tanveer and his brother Mohd Sohrab allegedly opened fire, hitting Moazzam's sons, 20-year-old Furqan and 25-year-old Ehtesham alias Sahil, before fleeing. Both were taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kunda, where Furqan was declared dead. Sahil, who had been preparing to contest the upcoming panchayat polls, sustained a head injury and was sent to Prayagraj for advanced treatment, SHO Dikshit said. Additional SP Rai said an FIR has been registered against four individuals, Tanveer Milki, Mohd Sohrab, Abbas, and Afaq Baba, based on a complaint filed by Furqan's uncle, Mohd Akhtar. Three accused, including Tanveer and Sohrab, have been arrested, and a minor was also detained on Sunday morning. Akhtar alleged that Tanveer, who has previously contested district panchayat elections, had issued threats during earlier disputes. Police records show that Tanveer has around nine criminal cases registered against him, while Sohrab has four, at various police stations in Pratapgarh....
