LUCKNOW, Sept. 21 -- Wazirganj police have registered an FIR against 23 people, including several former officials of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), in a major case of land deed forgery in Gomti Nagar. The FIR was filed on September 18 based on a complaint from sub-registrar (II) Prabhash Singh. According to the FIR, multiple protected land documents kept in official records were found to be tampered with. The case has been registered under IPC Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, and 471. Many of the accused earlier worked in the LDA's property section and handled land transactions directly. Wazirganj SHO Rajesh Kumar Tripathi confirmed the registration of the case and said that an investigation will begin soon.
