LUCKNOW, July 23 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has given nod for building a grand memorial in remembrance of former CM and former governor Kalyan Singh in Narora town of Bulandshahr district. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting held at Lok Bhawan here on Tuesday. Basic education minister Sandeep Singh, chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, principal secretary, tourism, Mukesh Meshram and principal secretary, irrigation, T Venkatesh were present in the meeting. Minister Sandeep Singh said it was decided that 'Babuji's Samadhi Sthal in Narora will not be just a memorial, but it will also be developed as a living centre of national consciousness, cultural heritage and spirit of public service. People coming here will pay tribute to revered Babuji as well as take inspiration from his thoughts, struggles and principles, he added. Singh said the memorial will also become an ideal centre of service, determination and 'Sanskar' for the coming generations. Minister Sandeep Singh, who is the grandson of Kalyan Singh, has himself visited Narora several times before and has brainstormed and inspected with officials about the concept and proposed form of the memorial site....
