Lucknow, Sept. 15 -- The 49th Foundation Day of Lok Ayukta was organised here on Sunday in which Supreme Court judge Justice Pankaj Mithal was the chief guest. Justice Arun Bhansali, chief justice of the Allahabad High Court, Justice Rajan Roy, a senior judge in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court and Justice Pankaj Bhatia, also a judge in the high court's Lucknow bench were present as guest of honour and special guests. Justice Sanjay Mishra, Lok Ayukta, Uttar Pradesh and deputy Lok Ayuktas Shambhu Singh Yadav, Dinesh Kumar Singh and Surendra Kumar Yadav were also present on this occasion. Many senior judicial and administrative officers also attended the function. The event was conducted by Reema Bansal, secretary, Lokayukta Administration and Tripurari Mishra, chief investigation officer. The guests expressed their views and praised the active actions being taken by the Lok Ayukta Administration against corruption and misgovernance. On this occasion, Reema Bansal said in the last three years, as a result of the recommendations of the Lokayukta Administration, a sum of Rs. 10 crore has been paid to the complainants.
