Lucknow, Aug. 20 -- The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Monday allotted 190 acres in Sector-10 to Escorts Kubota Limited for a state-of-the-art tractor manufacturing unit. The company had earlier signed an MoU with the state government for a 200-acre facility. Under the project, it will invest Rs.4,500 crore and create 4,000 jobs in phases. In the first phase, with Rs.2,000 crore investment, a tractor plant, commercial equipment unit and allied facilities will be set up. The second phase will be scaled up based on demand and capacity utilisation. The plant will cater to both domestic and global markets, while also supporting Kubota's global R&D operations from India.
