BAHRAICH, Oct. 7 -- State forest and environment minister Arun K Saxena has directed officials to give public safety top priority during all animal rescue operations in Bahraich. He said the lack of resources would not obstruct rescue efforts and instructed the divisional forest officer to increase the number of rescue teams and patrol vehicles in the affected areas.
The minister issued these directives during a meeting held to review the ongoing efforts to curb human-wildlife conflict in Bahraich on Sunday evening. He instructed officials to carry out rescue operations with full alertness.
"Children should not be allowed to go out alone, and villagers should move in groups carrying sticks for safety," the minister said. "People should use toilets built in their homes instead of going outside for defecation and avoid sleeping in the open at night," he added.
