Jodhpur, March 7 -- The Rajasthan high court has directed the state government, Balotra district administration, and the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) to ensure that factories operating there without consent or legal authority are not permitted to discharge polluted water into nearby agricultural fields and sewerage lines. In a single bench session presided over by justice Vinit Kumar Mathur, counsel Kapil Purohit representing petitioner Devaram, highlighted that the chemically polluted water emanating from textile factories has rendered surrounding fields barren, severely impacting the farmers. Purohit stated that despite this, the pollution control board, administration, and municipal council have failed to take effective action.
