Ensure arrangements at shelters for petitioners: CM
Lucknow, Dec. 23 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath instructed district officials to periodically inspect arrangements at night shelters to ensure that people who come to the city to attend Janata Darshan and others who put up there did not face any difficulties.
At a Janta Darshan event held here on Monday, he said many petitioners attend the event in Lucknow. "To attend 'Janta Darshan', people arrive in the state capital the night before. The government has made adequate arrangements for them in the night shelters," he said.
Noting that the state was under the grip of harsh winter, he appealed to the general public to first approach district magistrates and superintendents of police with their problems.
The CM instructed all DMs and SPs to patiently listen to people's problems daily and resolve them so that they do not have to come to Lucknow in the cold weather.
Some petitioners came to Janta Darshan seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. The CM accepted their applications and said that they should get an estimate from hospitals. "The government has been providing financial assistance for treatment from day one. The government is committed to ensuring that no one faces hardship due to a lack of treatment," he added.
