Enhanced security atairport, longer queues likely
LUCKNOW, May 10 -- The Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow is functioning at full strength and there are no disruptions to flight schedules as of now. With increased footfall expected during the weekend, authorities are placing extra emphasis on safety, as a result of which, passengers may experience longer queues at entry points, baggage checks, and boarding gates.
An advisory recommended that travellers reach the airport well in advance to avoid last-minute stress. "At Lucknow airport, passenger safety and convenience are our topmost priority," it stated.
"The airport is operational. We are ensuring that all services remain unaffected while prioritizing the safety of travellers," said a spokesperson from the airports authority.
Only the flight to Srinagar has been cancelled after the Pahalgam attack. Flights for Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh are still on, said the airport spokesperson.
