Engineers' body to present awards on September 15
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 13 -- The local chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) has announced the recipients of the Distinguished Engineers' Awards for 2025 on Friday. The awards will be presented to three individuals from the Prayagraj region during the Engineers' Day celebrations on September 15.
The awardees are Prof Rajiv Tripathi (the vice-chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal), Abhijit Singh (the chairman of the Railway Recruitment Board in Prayagraj) and Shivesh Gaur (the founder and CEO of Empyrean Group, Prayagraj).
Prof Tripathi holds a B.Tech from JK Institute of the University of Allahabad. Singh completed his BE from MNNIT-Allahabad, and Gaur earned his BTech from AKTU-Lucknow.
Confirming the names, the chairman of IEI-Prayagraj Prof Avanish Kumar Dubey said nominations were invited from engineers with strong ties to Prayagraj by birth or profession.
The IEI plans to make the Awards an annual tradition to recognise outstanding engineers from Prayagraj on Engineers' Day. In line with this year's celebrations, IEI Prayagraj is also organising a Hindi research paper presentation competition for graduate and postgraduate engineers and research scholars.
The award ceremony will follow the paper presentation event on the same day. Joint Honorary Secretary Vikas Rai, along with other office bearers and members of the IEI Executive Committee, congratulated the awardees on their achievements....
