LUCKNOW, Aug. 27 -- The body of a 40-year-old engineer was recovered from his Viram Khand house under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday. The incident came to light when a foul smell began emanating from the room, prompting family members to alert police on 112, officials said. The engineer lived on the upper floor of the house, while his mother stayed on the first floor. "Upon breaking open the door, officers found the body in a decomposed state, with insects present, indicating death might have occurred three to four days earlier," police said.
