VARANASI, Nov. 30 -- All officers and employees who complete work of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) assigned to them on time, will be rewarded and honoured, the district administration announced on Saturday. Officials were instructed to ensure 100% mapping of the 2003 voter list to the 2025 voter list and complete the digitisation. Divisional commissioner S Rajalingam made the announcement after inspection of various booths in the district to review the ongoing SIR drive. He verified the door-to-door verification and counting forms from the BLOs deployed at the booths in Harahua and directed them to expedite work. He inquired about the work related to the feeding of voter names, distribution of counting forms, and their collection. The divisional commissioner stated that the purpose of this special revision is to ensure that all eligible citizens' names are included in the voter list and that no one is left out. During the inspection, the divisional commissioner listened to complaints from people whose names were missing, collected their forms, and automatically verified them, and directed them to take necessary action. He also personally verified the verification process with the BLOs, informing them of the entire process. He urged those present to complete the counting forms and submit them to the BLOs, and to raise awareness among the people around them. The divisional commissioner directed all district officials and employees to be deployed for the digitisation and collection of counting forms during the SIR and to ensure timely completion of work. He asked the lekhpal, registrar, kanungo, village development officer, village panchayat officer, amin, headmaster, safai karamchari, assistant teacher, and other village-level personnel to assist the BLOs posted at the assembly constituencies to ensure timely and quality work.
