Easy switch option of colleges for AYUSH candidates in UP
LUCKNOW, Oct. 11 -- Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) candidates seeking admission in undergraduate courses will have an easy option to change college, if they find the one they opted for and got selected for in the first round, isn't good enough.
The second round of AYUSH counselling began on Friday in which the facility to switch colleges is available. Hence, if a candidate who got a seat in any of the colleges in the first round of counselling isn't satisfied can join the second round without any additional fee or new registration. "The old registration is valid in the second round also. The only condition is if a candidate gets a seat in another college in the second round the first seat/college will automatically get cancelled and shall be allotted to another candidate in waiting," said Dr Mandeep Jaiswal, nodal AYUSH counselling.
The AYUSH counselling is being done for 7,305 seats at 115 colleges including government and private. The facility of easy switch of seats will be available to all candidates getting seat in first and second round of counselling, which can be availed till third round. After that seats will be locked finally.
The counselling is being done for admission into Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy courses. Total seats are 7,305 and till now 6,189 candidates have been allotted seats during the first round of counselling where 6,074 candidates took admission to colleges.
The entire counselling process is online and is being monitored by a cell at the headquarter....
