VARANASI, Dec. 31 -- The Vinod Ghai E-Waste Management and Recycling Centre was inaugurated at the department of metallurgical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), Varanasi on Tuesday. IIT-BHU director, Professor Amit Patra inaugurated the centre. The center will focus on developing effective e-waste collection and recycling systems, conducting advanced research on the recovery of critical metals to reduce import dependence, utilising cloud-based IoT technologies, and building a skilled workforce for modern recycling methods.
