Lucknow, Aug. 14 -- Three peddlers who used an e-rickshaw to sell cannabis while on the move were arrested in Canal Road area on Sunday, police said. The suspects confessed to using the e-rickshaw to carry ganja and sell it to their customers along the way to avoid detection. They admitted they were on a delivery run when the police intercepted them. As much as 4.7 kg of ganja and the e-rickshaw was recovered from them. They were later presented before a magistrate and sent to judicial custody. Station house officer Nagram Vivek Kumar Chaudhary said the arrested men were identified as Manish Yadav, 26, of Sarojini Nagar, Dev Ravat alias Devesh Ravat, 28, from Kanshiram Colony, and Jagdeep Yadav alias Bablu Yadav, 43, of Kheda in Nagram. "Dev Ravat has 10 criminal cases registered against him at the Mank Nagar police station. Manish Yadav faces two cases at Sarojini Nagar police station," the SHO added.
