Dy CM: Services 0f 7 absentee govt docs to be terminated
LUCKNOW, Aug. 22 -- Seven government doctors who have been absent from duty for long, will be terminated from their jobs, said deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday. Also, the chief medical officer of Hamirpur has been served notice.
Dr Gitam Singh, the chief medical officer of Hamirpur has been served notice for laxity in tender process. Deputy CM has directed officials to serve notice and take disciplinary action based upon findings.
The doctors who will face action were posted in Jhansi, Amethi, Bareilly, Sitapur and Hathras. These doctors were absent from duty without any information to their immediate senior of the incharge of the health facility they were working at. Pathak has directed officials to initiate process to terminate them.
In another matter an ENT surgeon posted at Badaun state medical college was given show cause notice for being absent from duty since 2023 without any information. He will be facing disciplinary action on the direction of the deputy CM.
