LUCKNOW, April 13 -- A total of 54 Dubai-bound passengers were offloaded at the Lucknow airport here after their connecting flight from Jeddah was cancelled. The incident occurred early Sunday at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA), where passengers were scheduled to board Saudia SV-893 flight to Jeddah, with onward connections to Dubai. Airport sources said the flight was to depart around 2:30 am, but shortly after midnight, passengers were informed that the Jeddah-Dubai leg (SV-588) had been cancelled. Boarding was halted and tickets of all passengers booked on the connecting route were subsequently cancelled. Officials hinted that the decision might have been driven by the absence of a guaranteed onward connection, reportedly linked to operational disruptions in the Gulf region. However, no formal statement has been issued by the airline confirming the exact reason for the cancellation. Passengers, many travelling for work and family commitments, alleged that they were informed at the last minute and were not offered immediate alternatives. Several also raised concerns over lack of clarity at airport and delays in refunds. After waiting for hours at the terminal, passengers were asked to return home with assurances of refunds and rebooking support....
