LUCKNOW, Sept. 15 -- Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow to organise its 12th convocation on September 16 at 3 pm in Atal Auditorium. This ceremony will be presided over by the governor and chancellor of the university, Anandiben Patel. S Govindaraj, commissioner for persons with disabilities, GoI, will be the chief guest, while Narendra Kashyap, minister of state (independent charge), department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, will be the special guest, informed prof Yashwant Veeroday, media incharge of the university. A total of 166 medals will be awarded at the convocation, including 81 gold medals. Of these, 37 will be awarded to girl students (45.68%) and 44 to boys (54.32%). Among the 65 recipients, 31 girls and 34 boys will receive gold medals. A total of 43 silver medals will be conferred, with 23 going to girl students (53.49%) and 20 to boys (46.51%). Among the 40 individual awardees, 22 girls and 18 boys will receive silver medals. Additionally, 42 bronze medals will be awarded, with 26 going to girl students (61.90%) and 16 to boys (38.10%). Among the 38 individual recipients, 23 girls and 15 boys will receive bronze medals. In total, 166 medals will be awarded, with 86 going to girl students (51.81%) and 80 to boys (48.19%). Among the 143 recipients, 76 girls and 67 boys will receive medals. Out of the total 166 medals, 41 will be awarded to 27 students with disabilities, including 10 girls and 17 boys. On the occasion of its 12th convocation, the University will also confer degrees upon 2,113 students, comprising 962 girls and 1,151 boys. Among these, 22 will be research degree holders....
