Varanasi, Dec. 2 -- A man has been arrested in Mirzapur after a video showing illegal marijuana being sold in a village under Jamalpur police station went viral on social media. Police said the video, recorded in Deoria village, led sub-inspector Jaiprakash Yadav and his team to investigate. Their inquiry identified Madan Jaiswal, a resident of Ramna in Varanasi district, as the person involved. Officers arrested Jaiswal and recovered 510 grams of marijuana and Rs.450 in cash from him. During questioning, he admitted that he made sm- all packets of marijuana and sold them for profit, the police said. A case has been filed against him under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Jamalpur police station. He was produced before the court and has been sent to jail. Further investigation is underway....
