LUCKNOW/KANPUR, Nov. 12 -- Dr Shaheen Shahid, 43, has had a chequered journey - from the narrow lanes of Hata Mustafa Khan in Khandari Bazar locality of Lucknow to Faridabad - where she was arrested for her alleged links to a terror module. Daughter of Shahid Ansari, a former staffer of the state health department, Shaheen always wanted to become a doctor. She got selected for an MBBS course from a government college in Prayagraj, and later landed a job at GSVM Medical College in Kanpur. On Tuesday, when ATS and J&K Police officers reached Shahid Ansari's residence in Lucknow, neighbours were shocked to know about her alleged terror links. "It was only a month ago, I had a telephonic conversation with my daughter, said Shahid Ansari, Shaheen's father. Mohammad Shakeel, who lives a few metres away from Shahid Ansari's house, could not believe the news about the involvement of Shaheen and Parvez in "terror activities". Shaheen was once a medical lecturer at GSVM Medical College in Kanpur. Officials said she joined the institution in 2006 after clearing the UPPSC examination, but was dismissed from service in 2021, for prolonged absence. She was transferred to Kannauj in 2009, but returned to Kanpur within six months....
