Parents of the children arrived on the spot, besides local residents, and took them for treatment. The two autos collided head-on under the Kotwali police station area, and two seriously injured children were taken to the medical college, while the others were treated at a local nursing home and sent home. Cyber criminals threatened a young woman from Ghaus Nagar, Kareli, and defrauded her of Rs 57,000. According to the woman's complaint, she received a call from an unknown number. The accused threatened her, saying he would make her pornographic videos and post them on social media if she did not cough up money. He also then sent a QR code to her mobile phone and demanded money. Upset over the same, she transferred Rs 57,000 case. Later, a case was lodged at the cyber police station on her complaint. A man, in an inebriated state, allegedly killed his one-and-a-half-year-old son due to a grudge against his wife who filed a murder case against him, following which police arrested him on Monday. Shani, a resident of Mohiuddinpur Baretha, under Puramufti police station area, works as a labourer. On Sunday, while under the influence of alcohol, he allegedly killed his son by stuffing cloth in his mouth while his four-year-old daughter witnessed the act, said police. After committing the crime, the accused told his family about his action. Angered by her husband's brutal act, Shani's wife Kiran went to the police station with her family and filed a murder complaint against him.
