Doon: 3 more held in retd brigadier's killing
Dehradun, April 2 -- Police on Wednesday arrested three more people in the killing of 74-year-old retired Army brigadier Mukesh Kumar Joshi in Dehradun, taking the total number of arrested accused to seven, officers said.
Joshi was struck by a stray bullet on Monday during a shootout between occupants of two cars in a high-speed chase sparked by a late-night brawl at a city club. SSP Pramendra Dobhal said, "We earlier arrested four accused in connection with the case. During interrogation, the names of several other accused emerged. Acting on leads, police have now arrested three more people - Aadesh Giri (50), a resident of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh; Sameer Chaudhary (21), from Haridwar district; and Mohit Arora (28), a resident of Dwarka in New Delhi." Police said efforts are ongoing to trace and arrest the remaining accused, and raids are being conducted at their suspected hideouts.
