LUCKNOW, July 26 -- Doctors saved the life of a 30-year-old woman from Om Nagar, Alambagh, who was rushed to the emergency unit of the 50-bed Chandan Nagar Joint Hospital on Thursday with severe abdominal pain and loss of consciousness, officials said. According to an official release on Friday, Dr Debashish Sharma, a surgeon on duty, assessed the situation and found that the woman's fallopian tube had ruptured due to an ectopic pregnancy, which is a life-threatening condition. Dr Debashish Sharma and his team, including anesthesiologist Dr Abhishek Rai, performed an emergency surgery. As the woman had lost a significant amount of blood, four units were arranged and transfused during the surgery.
