LUCKNOW, July 5 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak has ordered departmental action against a woman doctor in Kushinagar after allegations of private practice surfaced against her. Also, a nursing staff posted at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, in Farrukhabad, has been suspended for taking money from a patient/attendant. The orders were given taking note of complaints and the principal secretary, medical and health, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, has been asked to take action. "Videh Kumari, the nursing staff, is facing charges for taking money from admitted patients and for causing mismanagement on the hospital campus. She has been attached to the office of chief medical officer of Bahraich," said Pathak in a press statement on Friday. The nursing staff will be served a show-cause notice and that shall be followed by further action. The woman doctor who is facing charges of private practice is posted at the autonomous State Medical College, Kushinagar, in the department of gynaecology as assistant professor. She has been charged with private practice. In another case, a doctor posted at the District Hospital, Hardoi, has been accused of misbehaving with the patients. Departmental action has been recommended by the minister against the doctor. Stopping the salary increment of another doctor has been recommended for making an incorrect medical certificate while being posted at Community Health Centre, Payagpur, in Bahraich. An adverse entry has also been marked in his service book. Another doctor posted at Community Health Centre, Rae Bareli, has been served a show-cause notice for misbehaving with a female patient....
