Doc, manager of pvt hosp booked for woman's death
PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 16 -- Kaushambi police registered a case in connection with the death of a woman patient at Happy Health Hospital, in Kanaili village, under the Sarai Akil police station area. The FIR has been lodged against the doctor and the hospital manager on the orders of the SP. It is alleged that the woman died due to the doctor administering a wrong injection.
Chaube, a resident of Gurauli in Kaushambi police station area, stated that on November 4, 2025, his daughter-in-law, Kamalawati, wife of late Ranjit, developed high fever. She was admitted to Happy Health Hospital in Kanaili for treatment.
According to the complainant, the doctor at the hospital, Shivam, admitted his daughter-in-law and demanded Rs 25,000 for treatment. He did not even provide a receipt for the money. At night, the doctor administered two injections. Shortly after, the complainant's daughter-in-law died.
When they protested, the doctor and the hospital manager forcibly removed the family members from the hospital. The complainant stated that he was financially weak and after the death of his daughter-in-law, her three minor children had been orphaned.
On January 13, the complainant met with Rajesh Kumar, SP, Kaushambi, and demanded that a case be registered against the accused doctor and hospital manager. The action was taken on the orders of the SP.
