AGRA, Nov. 17 -- While reviewing the progress for ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Agra, district magistrate Aravind Mallappa Bangari on Sunday said that with 3,696 block level officers deployed, out of 36,00,071 voters in district, 34,63,985 voters (96.22 %) have been provided enumeration forms till date to be filled under the exercise. "For the convenience of voters, the Election Commission has come up with a 'Book And Call With BLO' facility wherein a voter can directly call the concerned BLO and book their schedule. Voters can even register their complaint or make suggestions at the district contact centre on toll free number 1950 or landline number 0562 2250170," the Agra DM told media persons. "BLOs all over the district have been visiting each and every voter since November 4 and are providing two copies of enumeration forms to each voter. The voter has to return one copy to the BLO and the other can be kept by the voter for verification of record in future. For this work, 3,696 BLOs and 372 supervisors are at work in Agra district to reach 36,00,071 voters," he said. "The work for digitalisation on BLO App 8.75 new version has begun and BLOs are furnishing information regarding dead, shifted and absent voters after identifying them in their respective areas," the DM added. "The month-long exercise will continue till December 4. The aim is that no eligible voter is left out and thus people should cooperate with the BLOs in this task," he said. "Those failing in providing filled in and duly signed enumeration forms will not be able to find their name in the draft voter list to be published on December 9. We are committed to having an error free, refined voter list for ensuring quality SIR," Bangari added. "All those who have completed 18 years of age can register their name by filling form 06. For names of deceased and shifted to be deleted, form 07 is there and form 08 can be used for those moving from one assembly constituency to another," the DM said....
