LUCKNOW, May 26 -- A late-night DJ party here in the Talkatora area spiralled into violence when two on-duty constables were attacked by locals while responding to a noise complaint. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday in F-Block, Murau Tola, but came to light only on Saturday following the arrest of two accused. According to Talkatora station house officer (SHO) Kuldeep Dubey, constables Amit Kumar and Rinkle from the UP-112 emergency service were on routine patrol in a PRV vehicle when they received a call about loud music being played in the locality. On reaching the venue, the policemen noticed a DJ system playing music beyond the permissible decibel level and a group of youths engaged in an altercation nearby. When the constables attempted to intervene, the situation turned hostile, police said. A case has been registered against the duo under various sections of the BNS for obstructing public servants in discharge of duty, assault, and causing damage to government property. In the FIR, the complainant stated that two individuals, identified as Rahul and Rajeev Kumar, resisted the police's effort to calm the scene. "Our uniforms were torn in the process," the FIR added.
