Dist admn to soon beautify Prayagraj Gurudwaras
PRAYAGRAJ, May 26 -- During the Mahakumbh, the state government undertook beautification efforts at several mythologically significant sites in Prayagraj, including Nagvasuki temple, Mankameshwar temple, Dashashwamedh temple and Alopshankari temple, to enhance their tourism potential.
Now, on the same lines, the work of beautification of the seven Gurudwaras of the city will also be done by the tourism development, informed Aparajita Singh, regional tourism officer, Prayagraj.
Under the plan, Gurudwara Pakki Sangat will be the first to be beautified. Known as the oldest Gurudwara in the city, it is historically significant as the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur stayed with his disciples for more than six months in 1660.
"We will meet the chief sevadar of Pakki Sangat, Mahant Gyan Singh, this month finalise the beautification plan. After the Gurudwara Pakki Sangat, there are plans to carry out similar work at Gurudwara Khuldabad. Additionally, in the future, beautification will be extended to Gurudwaras located in Alopibagh, Mirapur, Sadiapur, Bamrauli and Naini," she said....
