Rudrapur, June 21 -- Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) administration started an online permit facility for Corbett interpretational centre (CIC) on Friday to replace the system of manual permits being issued to the tourists. Now, tourists can get online permits by scanning a QR code put at Dhangarhi gate and pay the fee through UPI system, said officials familiar with the matter. Saket Badola, director, CTR said, "Till now, our staff used to issue permits manually to the tourists. It used to take time as there was only one counter. Now, Tourists can get permits for CIC visits by scanning the QR-code themselves and paying the fee through UPI." Badola said, "We have simplified the permit system and pasted 3 to 4 QR code systems at Dhangarhi gate. Once tourists scan QR code and book permit and pay the amount it will show on the screen of the mobile phones. Our staff will give them entry after scanning the booked permit."
